Sunday Only League: South Florida Youth Athletics

It is with great pride that I announce expansion to the South Florida Youth Basketball League and all its subsidiaries.  After careful thought, Irene and I have decided to acquire another already established program (South Florida Youth Athletics) for additional league options for those of you that want more highly competitive basketball; however, now you can also play in our Sunday league held at the Soref JCC in Plantation. 
 
Two leagues with three locations and eventual interleague play. 

I will work with families from both leagues to eliminate scheduling conflicts if you want to play in both . I will be offering multi league and sibling discounts if you play in both programs. This was too good of an opportunity to pass up and the benefits to you all are immense.  Below is the link to the South Florida Youth Athletics (SFYA) league website. Their fall season will start on Sunday, September 18th.

Head Basketball Coaches Wanted for our Davie League!!

 South Florida Youth Basketball League is in need a volunteer Basketball Coach for our Spring 2017 recreational basketball league season. At this time, we are in need of a total of 1 coach. Approved head coaches receive 50% off of their child’s league registration fee.

Here is a list of the age group / openings:

Tiny Hot Shots (4-6 year old):  Tuesday Night at 5:45PM (1 Opening).

This limited time offer is for our youth basketball players, ages 7 – 10, with a skill level of beginning – to – intermediate. This offer is being made available to help expose our youth players to Academy level instruction and training.

Upon registering your child for the 2016 Fall Youth Basketball League Season, should your child qualify as stated above, a section titled “All-In Package” will be made automatically available to you towards the bottom of the form. Should you decide to take advantage of our offer it will include the below listed items.

  • (4) One Hour Academy Sessions (Friday night at 6:00pm) ($87.50 Value)

Sorry about the delay. Our 2016 Summer League regular season will coming to an end after games are played on Saturday. Playoff games will start on Tuesday (8/2)  Below is the link to the playoff schedule.

Note: Tiny, Mini, Slammer and Jammer Division: Championship team is based on team that wins 2 of 3 games starting with games on Saturday (7/30).

Miami Sea Aquarium Field Trip

Every week our Basketball Campers take a break from basketball and go on a  field trip. This is their time to have a little fun outside of the basketball court and bond as a group within the South Florida Community. On July 6th, we took a trip to the Miami Sea Aquarium.

Our  Campers were able to watch interactive “live” shows that featured Dolphins and Whales.

Miami Sea Aquarium

On Wednesday, July 6th our Basketball Campers will take a break from basketball training and go on a scheduled field trip to the Miami Sea Aquarium. Round trip transportation and park admission is covered by your weekly camp registration fee.

On June 22nd (Week 2 of Basketball Camp), Our campers went on a field trip to watch the Miami Marlins take on the Atlanta Braves. The Marlins beat the Braves 3-0.
