Ft. Lauderdale Youth Basketball League Registration

To register for the Youth Basketball League (Ft. Lauderdale) running January 23rd – March 2017, please complete the online registration form or simply print the paper registration form, fill it in and mail it to South Florida Youth Basketball along with your check or credit card information. If you prefer to wait until evaluation day to register, please bring the completed registration form with you when you come to evaluations. Please note that there is an additional $10.00 charge if you wait to register on or after evaluation day.

Evaluations

Evaluations for team placement take place (Monday) January 23rd, (Thursday) September 1st and (Thursday) September 8th at Shepherd of the Coast Gym Gymnasium (see map).

All players must arrive for evaluations at the Beginning of their particular start time as indicated by the table to the right for your child’s age group (see league tables below).

Games

All games will be played on Weekdays. All teams play a minimum of 7 games.

Coaches Clinic

A mandatory Coaches Clinic will be held immediately following evaluations at the Shepherd of the Coast Gym at 8:00 p.m.

Fee Schedule

  • Program Participants: $170 program fee ($180 on or after evaluation day).
  • Coaches Child(ren): 1/2 off registration fee with prior approval.
  • Sibling Discount: 10% discount for each additional child from the same family. Use coupon code SIBLING when registering your additional child.

League Awards

  • Each player will receive a team jersey.
  • All players 8 and under receive a league award.
  • Champion and Runner-up in each age division, sportsmanship, awards.

League Forms

Game Referees

  • Ages 13 and under play on smaller courts with various lower rim heights and are refereed in “coaching style” by some of the areas top varsity basketball boys and girls.
  • Ages 14 and up play on high school regulation courts with certified FHSAA Referees using High School Rules.
